I have not heard about this! So how would it work? Before a tenant with a dog moves in, would you collect a sample of their dog’s DNA (using a cheek swab or whatever) and then test the offending nuggets as they appear? Sounds like it could get pricey, and charging every tenant with a dog might ruffle some feathers, especially if their dog’s DNA never appears.

Yeah. A bad tenant can sure set you back. What were you using for screening before? Did you make any changes?

    Hey Kathy,

Thanks for your response! I’m wondering if you ever asked whether they’d rent to the tenant again or if you brought up the topic of pets.

  • That’s really good information that I hadn’t considered. The ability to have a higher number of tenants on the same amount of land as a single-family home is something that makes a lot of sense. Hmm. Something to keep looking into. Does anybody have experience in this area?

    Hey Lexi!

That’s great! It sounds like you’ve got a lot to be thankful for.

I’m thankful for the time spent with my family, our health, and the forthcoming feast.

Have a great time in Hawaii!
