As a renter, I’ve typically held on to lease agreements long past when I’ve moved out.

But, I’m wondering, do you keep old lease agreements? How do you store them? Have you ever had to reference an old one?

To me, it doesn’t seem like you’d need to keep old lease agreements as a renter. As a landlord, yes always keep old lease agreements (don’t repurpose them though). I heard somewhere that after five years you can throw a document out.
