    Just bought my first house in August (right before the interest rates started trending down go figure) and I am renting by the room. I self manage since its only one property. But I’m starting to realize that the process of vetting each roommate before allowing them to move tends to get redundant. Let’s see how this journey will unfold as time progresses!     Hi Joyce! Congratulations on your first house and diving into the world of real estate investing! Renting by the room is a great way to maximize cash flow, especially if you self-manage. Where in Virginia are you located? I grew up in the DMV area!
